My youngest son will be 59 in November

My youngest son will be 59 in November. While we were talking about my new to me chiming, key wind mantle clock. He mentioned he remembered the black clock we had in our kitchen when he was little. How he used to see the eyes move to the rhythm of its swinging tail, that clock is long gone, but when I found this one, I knew I had to get it as a birthday gift for him.
I should tell you also... He was diagnosed with early on set dementia about a year ago.

Quality Problems

Somewhat better quality than my previous Kit-Cat which I had to replace because the batteries would not stay touching the terminals; very disappointed in that clock!
The new clock is very noisy which I do not like, but can tolerate. Never have I heard one of these clocks this loud in the 70+ years I have observed them.
