Description
This eyeball ONLY fits the Battery Kit-Cat (15.5″) clock. If your clock says “Kitty-Cat” on the timepiece, then refer to the eyeballs for 12.75″ clock. If your clock is electric, please refer to the electric eyeballs.
The battery clock eye has a long stem out the back that allows connecting the eyeball to the lever slot.
The eyes are sold as a set, two eyeballs, a right and left eye.
The bottom of the eyeball is noted by the eye pin that is longer and fully rounded; the top pin is flat on the back side, or half-rounded.
Right vs left eye is determined by the position of the eye stem. Looking in the back of the eyeball, one notes that the stem is not centered, but off-set to one side. When installing the eyes, one wants the fully round pin on the bottom, and the off-set for both eyeballs to be closest to the nose of the clock. Also, the cat’s left eye (looking through the back of the clock) has a small raised odd number inside it. The right eye (looking through the back of the clock) has a small raised even number. It helps to use a flashlight to spot these numbers.
The eye stems are inserted into the lever slots: use the inside slot, by pulling backwards, or bending the lever slot to the stem tip, and inserting.
To order plain eyes with black pupils, select “No jewels / black pupils” and “No jewels”.
To order jeweled eyeballs, select the color of center jewels in the first menu, then “With jewels” in the second menu.
Jeweled eyeballs no longer are available pre-jeweled as we have no more. When ordering eyeballs with jewels, we will provide the colored stones with the proper number of clear stones and a pair of blank white eyeballs (no pupils), and the customer must glue the stones themselves using, we suggest Elmer’s white glue, as it will wipe off before drying with a damp cloth.
